Cookie Policy

This page explains what cookies are, which ones the Pensora website uses, and how you can manage your preferences. We have aimed to keep this explanation as plain and readable as possible.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device — computer, tablet, or phone — when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites function properly and to give website owners basic information about how their sites are being used.

Cookies do not run programmes or carry viruses. They simply hold a small amount of text that can be read back by the website on your next visit. Most cookies are temporary and are deleted when you close your browser; others remain on your device for a set period.

A similar technology called "localStorage" stores information in your browser. We use localStorage to remember your cookie consent choice on this website; it works in the same way as a persistent cookie for this purpose.

2. Cookies We Use

We use four categories of cookies and similar technologies on this website. You can read about each category below and adjust your preferences in Section 5.

Essential cookies

These are necessary for the website to function. Without them, pages may not load correctly or your session may not be maintained. They cannot be disabled because the website cannot work without them. They do not collect information about you that could be used for marketing.

Example: A cookie that remembers which page you were on when you submitted an enquiry form.

Analytics cookies

These help us understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the website — which pages are visited most often, how long people spend on each page, and where visitors come from. No personally identifiable information is passed to analytics services. We use this information to improve the website over time.

Example: A Google Analytics cookie that counts page visits and session durations.

Preference cookies

These remember choices you have made on the website, such as your cookie consent decision, so that you are not asked again on your next visit. Without preference cookies, the cookie banner may appear on every visit.

Example: The localStorage entry that records whether you have accepted or declined optional cookies on this site.

Marketing cookies

These track your activity across websites to help deliver relevant advertisements. We do not currently run advertising campaigns, but this category is included for completeness and in case it is used in the future. It is disabled by default.

3. Third-Party Cookies

Where analytics cookies are accepted, anonymised usage data may be shared with Google Analytics (operated by Google LLC). Google Analytics sets its own cookies on your device. You can read about Google's data practices at policies.google.com/privacy.

Google Maps is embedded on our homepage to help visitors locate our premises. The map embed may set cookies associated with Google. These are loaded only when the map is displayed.

We do not use cookies from social media platforms or advertising networks at this time.

4. How Long Cookies Last

Cookies can be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (stored for a defined period). The following approximate durations apply to cookies used on this site:

Essential session cookies — deleted when you close your browser.
Google Analytics cookies — typically stored for up to 13 months.
Preference cookies (localStorage) — stored until you clear your browser data or change your preferences here.
Google Maps cookies — vary; typically up to 6 months.

5. Your Cookie Preferences

You can adjust which optional cookie categories are active using the controls below. Your choices are saved to your browser's localStorage and applied on your next visit. Changing these settings here will also update the preferences shown in any cookie notice on our homepage.

6. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

In addition to the controls above, you can manage or delete cookies directly in your browser settings. Note that disabling all cookies may affect how some websites function. Below are brief instructions for common browsers.

Open Chrome and click the three-dot menu (top right).
Select Settings, then Privacy and security.
Click Cookies and other site data.
Choose your preferred option: allow all, block third-party, or block all.
To delete existing cookies, click See all site data and permissions, then Clear all data.

Open Firefox and click the menu button (three lines, top right).
Select Settings, then Privacy & Security.
Under Enhanced Tracking Protection, choose your level of protection.
To manage individual cookies, scroll to Cookies and Site Data and click Manage Data.
Click Remove All or search for specific sites to remove their cookies.

Open Safari and click Safari in the menu bar, then Preferences (macOS) or Settings (iOS).
Click the Privacy tab.
Use the Block all cookies checkbox or choose to block cross-site tracking cookies only.
To delete cookies, click Manage Website Data, select sites, and click Remove or Remove All.
On iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data to delete cookies.

Open Edge and click the three-dot menu (top right).
Select Settings, then Cookies and site permissions.
Click Cookies and site data to manage cookie behaviour.
To delete cookies, click See all cookies and site data, then Remove all.
You can also add specific sites to the allow or block list here.

Note: On mobile devices, cookie settings are typically found within the browser's Settings or Privacy menu. The steps above may vary slightly depending on your browser version.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to withdraw your consent to optional cookies at any time by adjusting the toggles in Section 5 above. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing that has already taken place.
